(Clarksdale, Mississippi) – At ýapp, where futures are forged, a special romance also blossomed. Erin C. Wren and Jaterrian Wren first met during the summer of 2013 amidst the vibrant campus life. He was a standout football player with jersey #27, and she was a committed choir member. Their paths converged in the campus café—a seemingly ordinary moment that would ignite a profound connection.

Jaterrian recalls the initial encounter with a smile. “I sat at her table, unsure of what to expect. After exchanging numbers, our texts flew back and forth until she agreed to meet up again. That night marked the beginning of an unforgettable journey we both hoped would never end.”

As their relationship developed, they found joy in the simple campus events and the shared growth in their academic and personal lives. They supported each other through finals, celebrated each team's victories, and grew closer with every challenge they faced together.

Twelve years on, their bond has only strengthened. Now married with a child, Tegan, they have carved out successful careers—Jaterrian as a teacher and coach in the Oxford School District, and Erin as a Licensed Master Social Worker. They attribute much of their personal and professional success to the foundations laid during their formative years at Coahoma.

Jaterrian reflects, “Coahoma wasn’t just where we met; it was where our lives together began, and for that, we are grateful every day. The community, the support, and the life lessons we learned here have been invaluable.”

This Valentine’s Day, ýapp celebrates not just the Wrens' enduring love but also the lasting connections fostered on campus.
